Rebecca litigates when necessary for her clients and focuses on all types of litigation, including trial matters. She enjoys working on asset division issues like reckless depletion, parental loans and down payments, income issues like self-employed or corporate owner payors, international wrongful child removal (abductions) and contempt of court cases.
Rebecca has a special interest in marriage (prenuptial) contracts and cohabitation agreements and spends a lot of time thinking about how to draft marriage contracts that stand the test of time.
Rebecca has appeared at the Superior and Ontario Court of Justice (incl. Small Claims) across southern Ontario, including Toronto, Brampton (Peel), Milton (Halton), Burlington, Hamilton, Kitchener, London, Windsor, Newmarket, Barrie, Orillia, Parry Sound, Elliot Lake, Oshawa and Kingston, and at the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

Rebecca's interest in creative settlements led her to attend Harvard Law School's Negotiation Institute in 2018 and to train as a Collaborative Family Law practitioner.

Rebecca has been a member of Collaborative Divorce Toronto, the Canadian Association of Muslim Women in Law and the Peel Law Association. She has presented at Continuing Professional Development courses for lawyers and is the past Treasurer and President of her condominium's Board of Directors.

Rebecca spends her free time with loved ones and exploring the outdoors. She is a part of various activist coalitions, including "We Have The Right To Be Right" (RTBR) - co-producing a short documentary with an RTBR co-founder to raise funds for a vulnerable client in crisis.
Rebecca dabbles in and supports her friends in the arts: she took the nature photos on this website, writes poetry and loves to make new music playlists. She can often be found watching reality TV, shopping and travelling.
Rebecca has supported the West End Phoenix (TO), Sistering (TO), the Black Legal Action Centre (TO), 1492 Land Back Lane (ON), the Southern Poverty Law Centre (USA), and other non-profit movements.
